Habits at Home

This week we are chatting about habits parents need to be aware of at home.

My biggest concern is excessive screen time for children, I cannot emphasise this enough, in fact I think I carry on about it a little too much, but that is for good reason. With my child development background and my 20 plus years of practical knowledge I see the changes that increased screen time has had on children. I see the attention difficulties, the speech delays, the decreased initiative, decreased joy, lack of physical skills, emotional dysregulation and general lethargy.

Lets prioritise real-life interactions, physical activities, time in nature and quality play to foster social, cognitive and physical wellbeing for our children.
